In a scenic little port town, the MC meets two pirates who offer something of great value. Something that could show the future and answer a few questions, but it goes wrong

Concept
Small and quiet little village on the outskirts of the boundaries of Trance. A world with magic. Magic that seems to be weakening. In the dead of the night, an exchange of information happens with one seeking answers to the realm's future.

Class 14 Update 5/6
Rough idea for animating and rendering from today until Monday. Hoping to get shots 6-8 fully rendered today so a little out of order but main template for what I need to accomplish for Class 15

Had to do some back tracking with character texturing and realigning that and then making progress on the blocked-out animations 
Play blasted from maya not final lighting- animation blocked out

For next class, blocked out animation and possibly s few finalized shots... Fully rendered
Class 11 Update 4/27
Got two out of three rigs fixed and redone and will have animatic update with rough animation for Wednesday, keeping very limited movements and go from there. 
Class 10
To Do List (Prioirty)
First
Fix Rigs and get them in there, blocked out animation over weekend and rendering the close-up limited movement shots
Double checking the artifacts that seems to be happening with the stone walkway texturing
Sound Design
Will have test sound design stuff by next Wednesday after I get Class 10 animatic rough to them tomorrow
Challenges/Adjustments
Busted Rigs - Maya crashed and the rig files got messed up so tried importing the rigs again and they weren't finished versions, so they didn't work properly
Personal computer crashed during rendering/wouldn't render sequences so play blasted the shots with maya software and then included stills for how they will look rendered in Arnold

Update 4/20
Render lighting tests in progress for each scene 
Texture issues occurred so a little bit of backtracking with working on the assets created - short sword, dagger, and pouch
Rigging is in final stages for all characters
Focus for class 10 - fully rendered intro shot and a get a few shots rendered and blocked out animation with lighting done for all shots. 
Update 4/13
So made adjustments to shot 02, hopefully giving a little more context to the scene. Bird will caw twice while flying and instead of following the flight of the bird you see the MC acknowledge the bird and turn to look.
Did some Arnold render tests for the final images, got all character bump maps in there
Bird is mostly rigged and working on that. Will have rigs for other characters Tuesday
Update 4/08
Updated the timing of the animatic and the framing of the shots but still keeping a similar sequence for the shots. 
Notes for adjustments for the animatic
The pouch drop- need to add jewels and coins spilling out of the thing when it hits the ground
Need swords and noise indicators for when the bird caws twice to signal two bad guys around
Update 4/06 
Rigs are in progress, the textures on the characters need bump and a few reflectivity changes but the texture designs are finalized. Goal for this week to get the rigs connected and some blocking out and animating done by next Monday.

Update 3/30
Rough in-between edits of first two shots while waiting for character rigs and working on bird rig for class five. Will have more blocked out for class five and beginnings of animation started then. All textures finalized and finishing with assets and props
Update 3/25
Started to draft the first version of the Press Kit and worked on getting a schedule together for myself to stay on track this quarter. 
Update Spring Break
Worked on Starter scene and setting. Finalizing textures for setting and characters.
Modeled the crate, textured characters and bird, textured ground and going to finish up all final adjustments before starting shot by shot and breaking it down into parts and getting the new rough edit back in there and updated.

Made adjustments to the color and lighting in Shot 01. Added in blocking for the vial 'breaking and "drop" and reworked the pacing and timing. Sped up parts. 
Had to remodel the first character over the weekend and restart the typology. Ran into an issue where his modeling wasn't symmetrical and it gave issues with the typology

To Do List: Editing the lighting. Shot timing is about polished. Still adjusting the materials, characters and sound

Didn't quite finish it but would like him to transform into a bird and fly away to tie in with the opening bird flying around- and or using magic of some sort and bird lands on him and they disappear using magic. Still roughing it out

Notes: Changing the ending so that you see the struggle of the living bad guy before he succumbs to his fatal injuries- laughing at the main character
Adding in something to the fight scene so the MC stumbles back on the magical rot/is pushed back onto it to drain his magic so that the bad guys can defeat him easily.

Senior Project Notes
June 3rd – German expressionism and urban fantasy – interaction on a bridge
Concept. Guy meets an informant on bridge for magic spell that will show him what he wants. Asks to see her future. Gets glimpses into the future. Informant is killed so he cannot share what he saw (maybe have him get dumped into the water before potion is used???)​​​​​​​
Hand out over the water turns so it is parallel to the ground and breaks the vial. The magic drips down and camera tracks as it falls into the water. Shows snippets of the future.
Main characters-
Bird creature- flying into the scene???? Could be a small dragon/ familiar ????
Robin/Azazael ( A) – demon guy who is receiving the information
